One for the German Experts! What is it?

I came across this item recently, it is described as a German WW2 88mm shell transport case. I do not collect German items and have no idea what it is exactly.
Any ideas?

Transport case is right but without measures or markings hard to say for wich ammo

The approx. measurements are; height 53cm (20.9"), width 12cm (4.7"). It is in reasonably good condition with some surface rust and a few dents. Any ideas what it is and a value?

Stencilled in white paint on the cover
On body case stencilled Luftdicht in white paint on dark grey paint
On top body under the cover stencilled in white : Heeresmunition and....perhaps no sure gesamtaw......
