Ordnance Part ?

I suppose I really ought to know what this is but I don't . It measures 4.75" long & 3.1" at the widest part . The only mark is SD1 but I can't believe it's a simple as that ! Any info much appreciated .

I think it's a feed-chute for SD 1, according to this item for SD 2 .

Yes it is for filling explosives into the SD 1 most were found at the German air force testing area called Rechlin
