Panzer faust container?????

Can anyone confirm that the container on this picture is for transporting Panzer faust?
I thought the panzer faust came in wooden boxes and not metal containers.
If it is not for panzer faust, what is it for? I do not have nay more information regarding this item but wondering to get it if it fits into my collection area.

Never heard that Panzerfausts would have been in metal containers. Manufacturing such a metal container for one Fanzerfaust would cost near the same as the Faust itself. This for sure is for some other ordnance items and these are tens of different ones.
Can you measure dimensions to help identifying what it is; inner diameter, outer diameter, total length, photo if there are any supports internally.
The picture is not too good but does it open at both ends?
