This awesome German-Russian-Belorussian IIWW drama https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9738784/ tells a story of a German run concentration camp in France. It says it is inspired by true events (I wish I knew which ones). It is an emotional rollercoaster in which a Jewish prisoner pretends to be a Persian. The movie is extremely clever. It also shows German camp contingent in an every day light. This Belorussian Oscar entry was disqualified on the basis that most main characters were played by non Belorussian European actors. How about an Oscar for a plain SUPERB movie?
