Hi,
Pics attached of a fragment of drive band I picked up at the entrance to a field next to the Sanctuary Wood Museum near Ypres about 7 years ago. Can anyone tell me what type of shell it came from? I've compared it to the bands on a fired British 18pdr and a German 7.7cm and I don't think it is either.

PS. The hole is my handiwork as I decided to fettle it into a keyring.
