Pistols for 18 inch and 21 inch torpedoes

Hello,

I am looking for information (cut away drawings and discriptions) about the following pistols for British Torpedoes:


CCR Mk 1 and Mk 1**
18 inch Duplex Mk 1 (Mk II)
21 inch Duplex Mk 1 and Mk 1**

As far as I know the CCR pistols are impact/magnetic and from the concussion-electric type and the Duplex pistols are impact, concussion type.

Have these pistols a cocked striker if armed and therefore very sensitive, or are they "Safe" when run down without hitting a target?

Here's an "exploded" view - I just have to find where I extracted this diagram from as from memory there was an accompanying operational description.

Found some info.

The 18 inch torpedoes used the following Pistols: Above water ,Type 3 and Duplex (impact only).

The 21 inch torpedoes used the following Pistols: Above water, Type 3, Duplex and C.C.R.

Only the Type 3 Pistol has a cocked striker spring if armed.

Also the 18" warheads were fitted with the CCR in their "B" pattern.
