Please Help German projectile identification

Belgian used the same canister shot ("boîte à balles pour canon de 5.7cm") but with another case (as far as I'm aware 57x224R).
Ww1 and before. Try to find marking "EP" on the base.
Argentina used also a similar for 61mm Nordenfelt gun (longer shell).

Hi Condor, could you re-measure the shell case including the rim diameter? I have no idea what it is, maybe if I am able to identify it can set you on track for the ID of the projectile. In which country did you find it?
