Please Identify 20mm Orlikon Projectile

I picked up this 20mm Orlikon at a show yesterday. I think maybe someone just stuck something in the end of the projectile, but not sure. The black thing in the end is made of plastic and magnetic towards the projectile. The projectile has a hollow cavity 28.15mm deep. The projectile has "AP MK8 -1 5-43" stamped on it and it is in an Orlikon case, stamped "20mm MK.2 1943" and the letter "B" in a circle.

Does anyone have any knowledge of this projectile. The seller didn't know what it was other than it was "20mm something".

Thanks
....JR

The Mk2 Hispano AP with windshield would have been British/Commonwealth,this one is a Mk8 U.S version.....you can even make out Mk8 on the projectile markings if you look closely.
