Polte Cartridge Case World War One

I have a 'trench art' tobacco or cigarette container, this consists of two cut down Polte Magdeburg brass cases that have been sleeved to fit together tightly, overall height is around 4-1/2" this includes the brass knob fitted, the shorter section forms a lid, to provide an airtight seal. They are dated Jun 1918 and carry the usual Sp406 Polte inspection mark. The only other headstock making is 33, the diameter is 63mm and 69mm across the base, any ideas what calibre they are and what would have fired them, thanks in advance, am currently unable to post photos.

Mike.

Based on the diameter of the rim I would say 57x225R70 Nordenfeldt, used in their tanks.
