Can anyone identify this item?

Sorry about the poor quality photos. I don't actually have it in my possession.

Fuze, Percussion, Base, ?, ?, Mark II.

(Large, No. 11 or No. 15 Bronze)

(Medium, No. 12)

After a bit of further research -

Fuze, Percussion, Base, Large, No. 11, Mark IV.

Falcon,

Is there any way you can check to see if that is a scratched II or a IV? (a Mk. IV would make more sense)

Thanks for the reply Tim.

The marking was a stamped "IV".

Is 2/04 a date code?

What calibres would this have been used for?

Falcon,

Base fuze for large (6" and larger) pointed and uncapped armour-piercing shells.

I bought the fuze the next time I saw the seller.

Everything was inert. The top piece unscrews, the percussion cap had been fired and the booster charge was gone.

Here is a much better image of the base markings taken from placing the fuze down on a scanner.
