Here is what I believe is a pre WW1 75mm shrapnel made by Saint Chamond in France. Unfortunately there's no mark at all, however, it's in very good condition and I think retains it's original red and white paint. It's really well made and possibly a factory cutaway. Any info will be more than welcome. TIA. Frank

Hello,
I think it's a cutaway from the french firm Schneider.
The fuze could be the ESC98 (graduated to 9). Made for exportation.
Regards

Thanks Minenaz16, I was half right: it is French, just the wrong manufacturer. I know I will be pushing my luck, but do you have more info on this type of ammo. Was it separate loading, fixed? What era, which country(ies) bought it? Anything will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry no more info

We have one in Eod museum with same colors, red head, white body (original) 240mm length without fuze.
What is the length of your shell ?
