Can anyone post a photograph of a 6Pr shell case with a pressed in primer? I have one where the primer cap had been drilled out, and would like to try and make a replacement dummy cap.

Thanks for the photos. So it is a copper cap pressed into a brass sleeve.

Is the brass ring inside the indented ring that holds the primer on these a separate piece? My case has a dark ring in the brass but no indent around it.

Hello Falcon,

Two photos right hand is a Mk VIII , I hope this helps you.

Mine is a mark III case, it looks like it has the pressed in cap like you show.

On the screw-in primer, how would they have got the securing pin in?
