Presumably DS-62 Grenade Fuze??

Does anyone know the country of origin for this fuze? The only ID I have on it is the DS-62 on the spoon. I have my suspicions about the delay, and can't really remember if it goes with the RGD-5 pictured last, though it fits the profile. Thanks for the help, Bruce.

ALL ORDNANCE SHOWN BY ME HAS BEEN INERTED AND HAS NO LIVE FILLERS.

The fuze is East German as mentioned, made at factory 06. My concern is that by all appearances the detonator element looks live and it packs a big punch. If there is no hole in the detonator body I would tread very softly and find a way to safely and legally get rid of it. The grenade you have pictured is Bulgarian, made at factory 61. Bob

Bruce, the DS-62 is definately GDR.

Manufacturer code "06" is the "Sprengstoffwerk Kapen".

The RGD-5 below is made in Bulgaria.

Bob, just like the FG-M, when the detonators were inerted, the fillers were removed from the base, so the hole is there, not in the sides like the AR's require. Being Jarheads, we thought that the aesthetics of the piece would be better served making the entry from the bottom, thus saving our art.:tinysmile_twink_t2:

Grenadier, after we removed all of the filler, we popped the caps, so there is only a hole. You'll notice that the primer cover is missing. Cheers, Bruce.

Too bad the USMC didn't write the AR's. Few things irritate me more than idiot holes in the side of something.

In all honesty, I think that Crane had similar regs, but I wasn't one to know all of what was in them big books; they's just too much for a simple country boy to read.:tinysmile_eyebrow_t

Everybody, thanks for the input. I've been wondering for 18 years who made these, and I hated the early AEODPS, being more used to hard copy.
