Hi Could anybody tell me if the primer i have in my 18pdr case dated 1937 is correct its a No 11 and the other WW1 ones are No1 did they change them for some reason or other.

The 1940 Handbook for the Ordnance Q.F. 18-PR. Marks IV, IVA and IVB states that both the pimer, percussion, Q.F. Cartridge, No. 1 & No.11 were used.
