Probably a drain pipe but maybe airdropped?

Hello all, whilst walking the dog over a stretch with two large craters from two unknown size German bombs were reported dropped during the war, I dug this out of the ground. I left it where it was at first assuming it was a bit of old iron drain pipe, but went back.

I thought I would put a couple of pics on as you never know. Where it is broked appears to be conicle rather than straight, and because of it's location made me wonder if it may be something to do with air dropped munitions.

The site was also the site of an old prison, so quite likely drainage.
