A friend of a friend found this at the beach in the UK recently and is looking for an ID.
I am a bit nervous that it is an HE with a remnant part of the fuze at the top and have advised to hand it in or dispose of it, but who knows what the person will do with it.
If I can get a positive ID that may help to convince the person. Is it an early 3.7cm Flak 18 HE with the double driveband or am I off the mark? German stuff is not my thing. I have no dimensions other than the person's hand as a scale reference.
