Pull Switch - British?

This is a late (possibly last) version of the Brit Switch No. 4 Pull, right? If so, which mark is this, and which manual/s of the time is it covered in? It is marked 'SWT PULL No 4 SPE-82' (i.e. Switch Pull No 4 - guessing 'SPE' is manufacturer and '82' is date - 1982). I had at first thought it was a US 'Pull Firing Device, M1'...

Hi Batonroundcollector

Your Switch is a copy of the American M1 Pull Switch made in Portugal. S.P.E. stands for Societe Portuguese Explosivos. Anecdotally, large numbers of these, and other Portuguese Switches were recovered from Iraq.

Cheers

Aha, thanks! So this was in service with Portugal as the No. 4? Exported to Iraq too? There was a British 'Switch No. 4 Pull' in WW2 at least so thought this might be a later development.
