Question about German M24 stick grenade pull cords and beads

The small bead at the top of the pull cord can be found made from several materials. There are variations in the cord itself too. Since the fuzes, pull cords and grenades are often found separately, I was wondering if anyone knows how to tell if a particular cord would mate correctly with a particular grenade or fuze? Does it have to do with the maker of the grenade or the date of manufacture? Would a particular cord/bead be wrong to put with a particular fuze, i.e. the bz24 vs the bz39?

I don't know if this is the type of thing that would have been documented, but any help would be welcome, including opinions and theories. :)
