Hello,

Does anybody know what kind of projectile this is? Is it armor piercing?
What is the meaning of the various text on the band?

It'a WW2 APC-T (Armour Piercing Capped -Tracer), the cap being a ballistic cap in this case.

The projectile is the same like this post WW2 projectile.

43 is the manufacturing year (1943), PA is for Picatinney Arsenal where the projectile was made. M81 is the model number for AP-T projectile. GL-53 is the manufacturing Lot number for the batch of these shells made in 1943.
