Hi,

Does anybody know what is the meaning of the letters "C C A", "C R A" and the image of the bear on this 18Pdr Canadian shell? It's 84mm in diameter and 29,5cm long.

Thanks,

Jf,

CCA - Canadian Allis-Chalmers

CRA - Unknown, I think it is some form of 'Lot' coding. A lot of Canadian cases have a three letter code beneath the manufacturer's stamp which appears to be date incremental.

Polar Bear - As yet unknown Canadian Primer manufacturer.
