Hello,

Does anybody know the meaning of the symbol near the top of the shell, the letter Ou, the letters VST on the primer and of the small circle symbol?

Thanks,

A oy is maker's stamp ( Ammus oy = "projectile ltd" ). VST is Valtion SytytinTehdas = State fuze factory. Ou I'm not sure about but the case is for 47mm Obuhov cannon, thus it possibly comes there. Small circle with crossed cannons is Army Depot symbol.

Hi,

Thank you very much for the explanation. Do you also happen to known the meaning of the letter MW in the attached pictures. This is from a 2pdr shell.
