Could anybody help me to identify the following shell markings please?

1) 3Pdr shell which measures 47mm by 376mm. Can anybody tell me the meaning of the letters CRB in the rectangle and the letters DW in the diamant. See picture below

Jef,

The CRB in the rectangle is the mark of a repair facility - denoted by the monogram enclosed by a rectangle - I am unaware as to the ID of CRB

DW - An Inspector's mark

MXB - The significance of these three letter strings is alluding me. They are incremental with the date and only appear on cases made in North America - especially those made by the Canadian Cartridge Company.
