questionsabout M24 and M39 Stielhandgranate

Hello guys:
could anyone tell me some differences between the M24 Stielhandgranate and the M39 Stielhandgranate ,and the reasons that why the german use the Brennzuender 39?

this Web is very well,but i think there too many wrangs and dosen`t give us the grenades、 fuzes、charges and other things in detail.

David, the original 24 had the carrying lug welded to the body while the 39 did not.
In fact most grenades designated 24 are 39s.
What is puzzling me is that most manuals are not reflecting this.

These carrying belt clips became obsolete before 1939 - in 1933 ("Heeres-Verordnungsblatt" Nr.10 from 5 April 1933).
