RG42 with Frag sleeve?

Going threw the spare parts bin I put this together, a WWII era RG-42 w/ defensive frag sleeve from RGD-33. While I've seen this setup in other collections, I don't recall ever seeing any documentation ( which is not surprising) or any period photos showing this field improvisation. If anyone has, please post post. The only reference I've seen regarding the use of the sleeve with a grenade other than the RGD33 is on the ROG-43.

Tim, Chad add original photo with thi grenade. I heard about this evrsion of RG-42, but haven`t seen original photos or in manuals. Peoples time to times write about this version RG-42. Exist a lot of different RG-42 and it`s one of them.
Bu the way, frag sleeve from RGD-33 was using and in grenade RGK-42, but it`s another official name of ROG-43 :tinysmile_fatgrin_t
During war printed article about making grenades and in this combination - UZRG+Dyakonov grenade.

Yessir, Chad was kind enough to relay photo of Russian soldier with sleeved grenade and PPSh! was pleasantly surprised. I was unable to find one in my searches. Now I can leave it on & put on the shelf with the others. These WWII Soviet canister type grenades are among my favorites! Still need a few more to complete the set of AP hand grenades. The main one is the elusive RG-41!! I've been looking for a long time now for this one. Thanks for your help Ivashkin!!
