I've found a couple of these today. .303 holds in the mag but is too long, 7.62 will not hold in the mag and too long, it is incredibly over engineered. IMG_1808[1].jpgIMG_1810[1].jpgIMG_1812[1].jpg

Artillery is out of my league, so can you explain, in very basic terms, how the primers feed into action in the gun. Remember, I really don't know much about artillery, so make it simple. Thanks.
 
Generally, you put the primer in the breech block by hand, like loading a single shot rifle. This appears to be a tool to hold safely the primers as they can get dropped, lost, etc if they are loose.
 
Not sure if this is the same type , but have seen magazines for the loading of Primer tubes in tank guns.
I understand the magazine holds this type of cartridge(Tube vent electric)
