RNAS 230lb bomb

Both the RNAS and the RFC had a 230 lb bomb in the Great War. The RNAS used them in the anti-submarine role, and were carried by flying-boats.

- was the RNAS weapon simply a flat-nosed version of the RFC one?

- were they both RL munitions?

I would welcome any advice or information please.
