Russian Ceramic Grenade - How rare? What's the current value?

Hello Gentlemen,

I am being offered a few WWII items from the east and would like to know a little about the Russian ceramic grenade. I am being told that it is pretty rare by the seller, and other posts on this form seem to indicate that as well. I assume these are rare because they are made of ceramic and most did not survive the war, but can anyone tell me if they also had a limited production as well?

Also what would you say a fair price would be for one of these? The one I am being offered does appear to be in good shape and has the fuze and lever with it.

Thanks

John

One models of F-1K rare, second - not. I know two models of this grenade. They were producing only during WW2 and probably some time before WW2.
They`re not very expensive. And fuze and lever from another grenades, because I haven`t ever heard about any of the F-1K, which found with fuze exactly in grenade.

You can say Ivashkin that this grenade is not rare.Perhaps in Russia or Ukraine(becouse they were used only there) but in the rest of the world they are quite rare grenades and I think they are rare becouse of problems with shipping from this countres.I can agree that there are two types and one of them are harder to finde.
You can read this about this grenade here:http://www.bocn.co.uk/vbforum/threa...sian-Ceramic-Grenades/page3?highlight=ceramic

History of ceramic F-1 is unknown till now. No any official documents about this grenade.
F-1K rare, probably I should tell - very rare, in Ukraine and not very rare in Russia. Time to time fineds these grenades.
Problems with shipping? How do you think - what is the easier - send metall F-1 or ceramic? :) I think first and without any problem)))

Certainly not what I would call rare but the nicer ones can be on higher end.
Pictured is average example. It's for sale. $180USD SHIPPED! Will post more pics if interested .

Thanks for the info guys. So if I am understanding correctly, the F-1K is the designation for the ceramic version of the grenade, but there were two different versions of it. The one timmymac posted is the thinner version, but there is also a "fatter" version. Here is a picture of the one that I am being offered, I assume this is the fatter version, but I am confused as to which one you guy consider to be the rarer of the two?
