hi all why dont the bombs have the tail fins when there found

Very small rivets or screws hold on the fins and they just tear off on impact.

There are some instances where partial tail fins do hold on like the Becton gasworks SC500 which went right through the top of a gas holder and rolled down to the botom in the sludge.
That was a complete tailfin still attached.
