Selbstausloser

Hello,
I am not sure if this item is munitions related.
If you wind it up the fork on the bottom moves out of the box. When initiated by the lever on the side the winding lever with the red circle starts to rotate back and the fork is pulled in.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Bob

Hi,

it's a East German (GDR) self timer for mechanical cameras.

If you enter

"Kamera Selbstauslöser DDR"

into Google you'll find plenty of them.

The triangle with a "1" inside is a very typical symbol found on East German products. It means the product is of high quality and the quality is comparable to the average of similar products on world market. I wonder how they could know about the quality of similar products of the world market because the people had no access to such products.

Thank You!
Never thought about that. My father used to have an East German camera, I will have to ask him if he ever seen or used such device.
