Working on a major project and trying to iron down some identification issues that I've been putting off (or forgetting the answers to).
In regard to the Littlejohn, was there a model number, for the main 2pr or any of its variations? I've got what appears to be two variations from the main design, not a lot of information to be found. The earlier threads on the forum don't seem to tell much either.
Second, model identification or understanding on Belgian 90mm discarding sabot projectiles. I've got three 90 DS, TP and AP. One is marked MK7, one is MK 8. for the Guns? The same two are further marked as NR 320 and as M697. For the customers? The third one is the smallest of the three, I would just like a model number for that one. The Belgian stuff is always a pain as they seem to sell two anyone with the Euros (or Francs) and mark per the day of the week.
Through the 1960s they used to sell surplus Swedish 37mm AT cannons out of Chicago for $350 ea, you could get all of the ammo for about $3.00-$3.50 a round to go with them. The cannons have long since disappeared but we still find the rounds floating around. I've seen plenty of the AP, APHE and HE, but what is this one? Model number?
What is the model number for the Swiss 4.7cm squeezebore?
I have a 120mm TSFSDS which some time back someone told me they thought was German in origin, but I've found nothing on it. The only markings are identification markings on the sabot petals (a,b,c) which seem to indicate R&D. Anyone?
I haven't got a chart on the Czech 30mm color codes. Can anyone either provide a chart or at least identify these three?
Lastly, UK APDS projectiles - one has an SX number, one has a partial SX number and one is unmarked (105mm and two 20pr). Can I get a model number on the 105mm and for the earlier 20pr? Thanks in advance.
