Signal, Airfield Locating No.1 Mk 1

see the attached packing tube for an airfield locating signal flare. It measures 20 inches long & 2.5 in diameter. But does anyone have any pictures or drawings of what the flare would look like?

Nice tin Dave. Another fine Schermuly product. There is a ground flare drawing in the packaging and markings manual, a long black cylinder, with a red band around and a ground spike on the bottom, not sure if that is similar ?

thats the one Tim, many thanks for that. Probably not much chance of finding a used or drill one but at least I know what to look for now.
