Small brass unknown

Does anyone recognise this as a piece of ordnance? Made of thin brass, it is 13mm at the top, 22mm at the base and 53mm in height. TIA.

The small holes would be too small for a primer flash to spark through. The holes around the side which i assume would near line up with the small vents could suggest its a gas nozzle for a blow lamp or so, not ordnance related.

Thanks for your thoughts. This is very thin brass so wouldn't be suitable for such heavy duty use unless it were an internal piece, which of course it could be.
