I think it was fired from the Centurion tank, after WW2, though I have a Number 17 plug dated 1942. Someone else here will likely know more.

Here a picture of the complete Cartridge QF, 20-pr, Smoke BE, Mk 2 & Mk 2/1 and a Shell Smoke BE.

The only difference between the Cartridge Mk 2 and Mk 2/1 is that the Cartridge Mk 2 has the Shell Smoke BE Mk 1 with 3 shear-pins in the bottom and the Cartridge Mk 2/1 has Shell Smoke BE Mk 1/1 with 6 shear-pins in the bottom. The rest is all the same.

Are you studying for the Dutch exam Senior-deskundige OOO?
