I Thought I'd share a few new additions to the collection over the last month. First one I was really proud to put this in the case. Been lookin @ this one for about a year now. A really cool example of a French OF1 w/Brilliant Fuse Mle1916. Retains a lot of the original blue/grey paint, although Its been clear coated. I really like this grenade!! ]Next is what I believe to be an original 3rd. Army Petard. Note the internal segmented body/tube. Has anyone run across these!? I read a really good thread by Dano, Paul, & others on these & don't recall its mention. The striker & retaining wire were my additions, so if they don't look quit right, that's why.
]Also a couple of matched M24's. These two are both stamped "42evy" on the handles & cans (pic didn't turn out on 1 can) these are part of a group that are still in transit, more on those when they're all here.
On the more recent side, a East German (Soviet) RKG-3 anti-tank grenade. This RKG-3EM was made for export as the instructions on the side are in English. These Cold War grenades deploy a "parachute" of sorts out the bottom of handle to insure the shaped charge opposite end contacts air first, initiating blast into target. The cutaways in these are SUPER cool!
