The Stick Grenade as we know had several transformations over the years, here are the models from 1939 through 1945. This is as near as accurate and will help new collectors Id them over the years of manufacture.

From left to right.
( That's the same side as the Leter L on your welington,, Boots just in case  )

1939 M39 Nebel Smoke Grenade
1940 M24 With, Vor Gerbaugh Sprenkaspsel Einsetzen probably the most collectable of M24's.
1940 M24 Without Vor Gerbaugh Sprenkaspsel Einsetzen Stenciling.
1942 M24 With pierced tab top collar ( preveous were fixed in place with 4 small screws )
1943 M24 With pressed collar and can threads,, faster to produce.
1944 M43 Model totally different in design and again fasrer to produce that M24 1943 model.
!944/5 Concept model,,some say this was prodeced in 1943,, can any one confirm this ?

Regards Nick

All of my Grenades are INERT and safe to display, they are only emtpy cans on sticks.
