I bought this 20mm round from a general militaria dealer for £12 (so bad news will not result in tears) mainly for the headstamp. The headstamp is 3 38 N PF, from my records this equates to Eidgenossichen Patronfabrik Solothurn Switzerland. The case is short for the standard Oerlikon at 107.04mm with a rim of 21.5mm. Something different or just trimmed?
I don't think the projectile and case have been together long but you never know. The projectile is 75.96mm long with a diameter of 19.35mm. The driving band is wide at 5.85mm, which has me confused as it is wider than the standard Oerlikon, Hispano or MG 151 (alongside for comparison). Fuze pocket diameter is 13.06mm.
