T 32 37mm cannon

That would be interesting to find out, Gordon. The pic of the gun at Rock Island shows that it has a hefty recoil system, but I can't imagine that it would be up to a full charge M16 casing, especially since, as you pointed out, it is sitting on a modified .50 cal tripod. Maybe used in Italy and or the Pacific in small numbers, likely as a stopgap and not really adopted, but that ammo box sure looks like there was some use. A real green M63 is not easy, f these use a 37x145 MKlllA2 case then the crimp has to match the projectile and a late date likely as well, this one's not going to be easy. Likely original rounds as found if this were the case are thought to be mismatched.
