T35 CN Rifle Grenade

Two different designs of the seldom seen T35 tear gas (CN) loaded rifle grenade. The body was made of plastic. The drawing is dated 1946. Not sure how strong that plastic was, but a warhead that big filled with powdered CN is one I would not want to snap off accidently.

Bob,

I haver never seen one of these before, ever. Also didn't we start using the Chemical launchers at that time?

Not sure when the chemical launchers came into use. I doubt you will see these. I have only seen one and it had a broken body with a small piece missing. I am doubtful they ever made it into any form of production past very limited prototype, but I have no figures on production amounts.
