The "Holy Grail"

Good Evening All,

One of my collecting "dreams" was to find an early pre-1900 torpedo pistol, however this late circa 1890's Schwarzkopf torpedo pistol has to be the "holy grail" itself IMHO - I doubt that I would be lucky enough to find another museum quality specimen such as this.

You can see this is based on the contact exploder type that uses a shear washer rather than a shear pin design - absolutely superb workmanship and the condition is well, #$#%# amazing considering the age!

BTW - Yes it is the exact same one as described in the USN 1903 Schwarzkopf Torpedo Manual
