What a dark movie, literally dark (because of candle light).....winter 1830, West Point Military Academy, New York https://www.imdb.com/title/tt14138650/. A cadet found dead. Suicide? Maybe...The Academy hires an outside investigator, who in turn employs a cadet by the name Edgar Allan Poe (did you know that Poe actually was a West Point cadet?). An investigation ensues, all involved have hidden secrets.......
I wish I could speak like people in 1800's...............

We saw it on Netflix the other day and rather enjoyed it. Gothic to the core, especially the end of the film. Well made and well acted, though I thought Gillian Anderson was given a bit of a bad script to work with. The weakest role in the film.

I thought the candle lit pub scenes were beautifully shot.
