WW I Artillery Shell.jpg

I found this shell in my late father's house. Can anyone provide a little information and history on it?

It is approximately 3.5" x 11"

Thanks:

Hi Bowser,
I would say that what you have there is a WW1 German 77mm case, with a high copper content 67% manufactured in 1917.
I am sure there are other members who will be able to add more information to this for you.
Best regards Weasel.
