Hello

I'm very happy to share with you theses two big and heavy (and empty!) cases: two "20 pounder HE-T" (high explosive with tracer?).

It's big, heavy and reaaaaaaly nice!

Does anyone have a technical drawing of an HE shell? I would like to try to turn a similar shape, but not necessarily exact, with wood.

Some pics, now :

Is AI the common Dutch maker? I did not know they made 20Pr cases. Very interesting cases and worth saving from scrappies.

AI stands for Artillerie Inrichting closed a long time ago they had a factory near Amsterdam

These cases were manufactered for the Centurion tank. The Dutch army used 2 types of HE shells, the 20 Pr HE/T Mk 2/2 and the 20 Pr HE/T Nr. 85.
Looking at the crimping of the shell cases (with double crimping) your cases were equipped with the HE/T Nr. 85.
