Picked up this 100% inert German ww2 7.5 training head, has any one seen one of these before ?

There are quite a few fired examples available out of Poland.

Probably more in Poland than with us, I have seen a couple over the years but yours is the best

"EX" stamped shells were not made for being fired. Are you sure these were EX versions?

This is one found recently in the Czech Republic.

@kradman: Does Your specimen also have the opening at the bottom?

Does anyone have a D 400 series manual on leIG18 ammunition, please?
