does anyone know which country used this trip wire and did it come with a mine/trip flare

Interesting that its dated 1953 but has metric sizes, must rule out a couple of country's.
 
can you show a picture of the one you mention,the lettering/numbering style dosent seem very british to me

yes looks like the same as the one from the book,although im still not convinced its british
just had a lightbulb moment,the one i show is metric measurements so wouldnt it be in yards if british?
maybe some metric country obtained these from britain and relabled them
