The number at the bottom is 1325, the Moslem calendar date for approx. 1925-35-ish. The top translates to "Mauser" or "Little Mauser", I believe.

As Jonny says, the top word is "RZWAM" which if turned round to the European left to right notation is "MAWZR", their rendition of "Mauser". The date of 1325 equates to 1907 on the Gregorian calender, although there is a slight overlap as the Moslem year starts at a different date to ours.

The symbol on the right is "Y" and idicates the source of the ammunition, although the meaning of these codes is unknown.
