Type 45A german fuze

F0031

Well-Known Member
Here is another 'exceptional' German bomb fuze. All such fuzes in my collection except for this one and a Type 9 that I showed earlier have the fuze designation Z(xx) stamped above the locating pin. Here the Z45 is on the opposite side and there is instead a large dash above the pin.

Hi T,
That has cleaned up pretty well :) I havnt had chance to do mine up yet.
What did you use to clean it?

cheers

Cleaned up quite nicely with a small brass brush - gets rid of all that white corrosion without damaging the metal. I avoided stuff like methylated spirit because it will probably take off the paint.
