Hi Fusse 2004,

the tail pistol should be the No1 MkII pistol for RL 16 Lb, nose part should be only a plug (?).

HE, RL, 16lb Light Cased, Mark I (or II or III) /C/. Used a Pistol Tail Mk II and was filled with about 3kg of Amatol 40/60. Was generally hand dropped - appears on some well known ww1 "in action" photos such as these ones showing "A flight lieutenant in a SSZ airship – Submarine Scout Zero class – prepares to drop a 16lb bomb - just like the ones destroyed off Sheppey - during a hunt for U-boats in World War 1"
