Unidentified 30mm projectile

Hi there
Has anyone any idea what exactly this is. When I acquired it, it was stuffed into a virgin Aden case but its not a standard Aden projectile. The fuse is longer and more pointed than I would expect. There are no markings on it at all but I assume its a TP. Its 111mm long. I thought it might ne a M230 shell but with only one crimping groove?

Any advice appreciated.

It could be some sort of American experimental.

They made a lot of different 30mm rounds that were never adopted for service.

When used in this context, experimental often does not mean rare. Some of these are actually very common.
