Greetings... can anyone identify this cartridge? I now realise that focus is not good on the headstamp, sorry.
The base is convex. The bullet is an interesting shape. The headstamp reads:- 3.G C 37 . There are 3 stab crimps.
All inert of course.

You have a 10,4 mm Italian ordinance revolver round.

SG is an unknown inspector mark
C means Capua. (Plant)

 
On another forum I was told that "Z.G" is Gaetano Zangari. But writting in the Italian style of Zangari, Gaetano.
 
@ Falcon, if it is a Z.G. on the head stamp you are right. Gaetano Zangari was Inspector between 1936/38 in Capua.

Thanks very much, gentlemen. It seemed military so i was sure that someone would know.
That is a "3", not a "Z" (unless there is an Italian style of Z that looks like a 3)
Amazing how odds and ends can turn out to be so interesting. There were a few random cartridges in an old wooden and steel .380 Revolver container i bought on an auction site.
