Unknown 12.7mm

Unknown? It has been around since 1922.

Your example is a semi-armour piercing F Mark I made by Kynoch in 1937.

Obviously it is known to many, just not me...hence the post asking what it was.

More correctly known as a .5" Vickers and the semi rimmed version used by Italy, japan ect 12.7x81SR

Does anyone know how much they are worth? I joined this forum trying to identify one. Found out I have the Japanese version with the fused explosive tip.

This side of the pond yours I would say is worth 5 - over there though possibly a bit more as not a common USA round?
The Jap one depending on condition a fair bit more.
Obviously Japanese ordnance & WWII items more common in USA than Europe/UK (sorry - not PC - but UK is UK)!! So depending on location price varies again.
